I first started blogging back in 2009. Back then, I was looking for a creative outlet when I settled on the topic of food--it was the topic I felt I had the most interest in and knew the most about as the daughter of a fish market owner and a home cook who could put Martha Stewart to shame.
While I no longer write actively, that blog led me to some wonderful opportunities as DC’s dining scene was just taking off and coming into its own. From acting as the Food Editor of the popular (now defunct), local news site, We Love DC, to freelancing for Eater and Washington City Paper, to parlaying that experience into a full-time, marketing job in the restaurant industry–blogging has been and still is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Today, this blog is a mix of recipes, career musings, archived posts from years ago and more. Some posts originally appeared on We Love DC. Thanks for reading.
